Manlius Historical Society meets
MANLIUS — The Manlius Historical Society met June 13 at Manlius Village Hall.
President Robert Andersen, leading the eight members present, asked Kenneth Rodgers for minutes of the May 2 meeting. The minutes were approved. Rodgers then gave the financial report. The expenditures of $3,622.67 was for electric, gas, labor, supplies and ceiling tile were approved. Income from donations during this period was $1,295.
A clean up day was held. Plants were put in front of the bank in boxes and new names have been added to plaques.
The following was discussed under new business: Putting up sign on vacant lot next to bank building; a stairlift to be installed before July 1; carpet has been removed from floors upstairs; and shelving purchased from Deb Quinn for upstairs storage.
A duck pluck will be held on Manlius Fun Day. The group will donate money to Jessica Sergeant for her expenses incurred from her illness.
The bank building is now open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays and Saturdays.
The group’s next meeting will be at 6 p.m. July 1 in the village hall.
