Road trip

KEWANEE — The Henry County Genealogical Society will meet Monday, June 24 for a road trip to the Atkinson Historical Society Museum at 1 p.m. The group will meet at 12:15 p.m. at the Kewanee Public Library.


WYANET — The Wyanet Boy Scouts will host a cookout from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Saturday, at the Wyanet Locker. They will serve rib eyes, butterfly chops, pork burgers, brats, hot dogs, chips and pop.

Pinter reunion

CHERRY — The 62nd Pinter reunion will begin at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23 at the Holy Trinity Hall on Main Street in Cherry. Family members should bring a meat dish and another dish to share plus their own table service. Drinks will be provided. After the meal, there will be a short meeting followed by games and activities for all ages. The reunion committee is the Warren Pinter family.

Sunrise Yoga

SPRING VALLEY — Residents are invited to attend Sunrise Yoga at the Spring Valley Community Room Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:45 to 7 a.m. and Fridays from 7 to 8:15 a.m. The cost is $5 per class of $35 per month with the first class being free. Play day

SPRING VALLEY — Boys, ages 6-8 years old, are welcome to come to Savitch Park/Kowalski Field on Second Street from 2 to 8 p.m. today, Saturday, for some baseball. There will be little league, coach pitched, instructional games scheduled throughout the day. Concessions, food and soft drinks are available for purchase. Movie night
