Genealogy Meeting

OTTAWA — The LaSalle County Genealogy Guild will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Guild library, 115 W. Glover St. Carol Chandier of Dixon will present a program on “The Orphan Trains, the history and the personal side of the story.” Chandier is a board member of the Lee County Genealogical Society.

‘Treasure Island’

PRINCETON — Festival 56 will present “Treasure Island,” the children’s classic by Robert Louis Stevenson, July 20-26 in the Princeton High School Council Auditorium, 103 S. Euclid Ave., Princeton. Performances are 7:30 p.m. July 20, 23, 25 and 26, and 2 p.m. on July 21 (separate reservations for Lunch with a Pirate before the July 21 performance are required). For tickets, call 815-879-5656. Upcoming blood drives

BUREAU COUNTY — The American Red Cross has announced blood drives will be held in the following locations: LaMoille — noon to 6 p.m. Thursday at the LaMoille Lions Club, 308 Howard St.; and Sheffield — 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday at St. Patrick Church Hall, 231 W. Atkinson.

Breastfeeding support group

PRINCETON — The breastfeeding mother’s group will meet at 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, at the Perry Memorial Hospital. Lactation consultants Jenny Nurss-Ullinskey and Liz Birkey will host the meeting. Mothers are welcome to bring their infants, as well as other children to the meeting. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Call 815-876-2282 for more information or to register.
