ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Larry Joseph Huber passed away at his home in St. Louis, Mo., on Friday, June 21, 2013, at the age of 63 after losing his battle with cancer.
Larry was born in Peoria on July 20, 1949, the son of Howard J. and Verna J. (Smith) Huber, who preceded him in death. He grew up in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School in 1967.
The Huber family auto repair business was Huber’s Sinclair service station on East Peru Street from the mid 1950s to early 1970s. As a member of the U.S. Army, Larry served his country in Vietnam. Following military service, he relocated to the St. Louis, Mo., area. Always a mechanic by trade, he was a long-time employee of Altec Service Group in Wentzville, Mo. (formerly Powerline Equipment). He was a man of his word and a hard worker. He loved to spend his spare time riding his motorcycle, hunting and working on his property in the country.
