STERLING — Sauk Valley Media in Dixon and Sterling will present the 2013 Senior Showcase on Aug. 6.

The event will be held at Northland Mall in Sterling and is the premier local event for those “50 and Better.” More than 40 merchant displays from businesses throughout Northern Illinois will be on site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will include information on health care providers, caregivers, retirement planning, insurance coverage, long-term care, nutrition, and many other subjects of interest to the growing market of consumers 50 years and older.

“This will be the 15th year for this great event and it just seems to get bigger and better each year.” says Ed Bushman, general manager of the Telegraph in Dixon. “The vendors at this show are prepared to answer any questions on senior living, retirement, healthcare and so much more. The over 50 crowd loves this event and return year after year to gain knowledge of new companies and products designed just for them” said Bushman.

The Senior Showcase is free and open to the public. For more information, call Ed Bushman at 815-625-3600, ext. 681, or email ebushman@saukvalley.com.

This event is sponsored by Sauk Valley Media, CGH Medical Center, KSB Hospital, Moore Monument & Granite Company, and Gaffey Home Nursing & Hospice.
