OHIO — The Ohio Grade School Board met in regular session on July 16 with the following action taken or discussed:
• Approved the employment of Courtney Gram as fifth-grade teacher pending screenings.
• Heard a report from Superintendent Sharon Sweger. She reported a balanced budget with consistently under-spending in every fund. It was reported the school’s budget had projected an end of year balance to be $89,298, but instead ended with a balance of $235,789 to go into reserves.
• It was also reported the updated computers for the computer labs had been ordered.
• Sweger also reported she had attended a Booster Club meeting and there was discussion about the new scoreboards. Sweger tallied the donations and pancake breakfast profits to be $3,365. The districts will split between the remaining amount of approximately $7,000 and $9,000 depending on which scoreboard is chosen.
