PRINCETON — The First Presbyterian Church of Princeton will hold the seventh annual silent auction and ice cream social from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10 at the church.

All proceeds from the ice cream social and silent auction will be donated to the Bureau County Health and Wellness Clinic, which provides lost cost health care to Bureau County residents who do not have health insurance.

The menu for the ice cream social includes: grilled rib eye and barbeque sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, home-baked cookies and Sisler's ice cream.

Several local gospel musicians will be performing throughout the evening, and there will also be children’s activities. There will be a large variety of silent auction items available for bidding. Auction items come in all shapes, sizes and price ranges. Theme gift baskets, gift cards, original artwork and craft items, baked goods, jewelry, household items, and corn and soybean seed are just a few of the things that will be auctioned. Silent auction bids will be accepted from 5 to 7:15 p.m. A few select items will be auctioned off live, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

The event will be held on the front lawn of the First Presbyterian Church, 320 Park Ave. East, Princeton. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the basement of the church.
