Four former Chicago Bears helped clean up for the ServiceMaster Restoration by DSI Charity Golf Outing for the American Red Cross at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course Friday in Princeton. Frank Wolsfeld (second from left) of ServiceMaster welcomed D’Wayne Bates (from left), Emery Morehead, Steve “Mongo” McMichael and Michael Richardson. Each former Bear went to the winning bidder to play a round of golf with as part of the charity benefit. When asked about the Bears’ Super Bowl championship in 1985, Morehead said, “It’s always nice to be the first, and we’ve turned out to be the only one.” Upon examining a photograph to autograph, McMichael said it was a nice picture to see him chasing 49ers’ quarterback Joe Montana. He knew the score of the game, a Bears 26-10 win, and said he got the game ball that day. Bates is the athletic director at LaSalle-Peru High School.
