Four generations compete in Manlius Fun Day

MANLIUS — Wilma Anderson of Manlius, her son, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all came to downtown Manlius Saturday to rolle bolle against each other during the Manlius Fun Day.

There were 66 men and women bolders, making up 22 teams. In first place were Lynzee Quaid, Darrell Wallace and Mike Motley. Second went to Allison DeBrock, Brad Alexander and Rod Nelson. Third place was won by Kristine DeBrock, Lisa Marchand and Tyler Heitzler. Fourth went to Amy Brummit, Ted Alston and Randy Manthe. Fifth place was won by Karen Motley, Michael J. Michlig and Lynn Baele. In sixth was Shawn Ginrich, Jan Franque and Dave Willey. Seventh place went to Jake Alston, Riley DeBrock and Drew Verstraete. Eighth went to Nolan Verstraete, Merv Wilson and Gerry Verstraete. Ninth place was won by Rita Frank, Kenny Rodgers and Adam Olson, and tenth went to Lois Oberle, Jolene Bickett and Matt Motley.

Manlius Fun Day warm-up: Thirty-three bolders came to Manlius on July 31 for a warm-up game for the Manlius Fun Day game. Winners for the night were Allison DeBrock, Jamie Oberle and Zack Alston in first; Lisa Marchand, Mitch Smith and Richard Taylor in second; Jolene Bickett, Chuck Taylor and Tony Marchand, third; Rita Frank, Rod Nelson and Tyler Heitzler, fourth; and Donna Ericson, Justin Anderson and Darrell Wallace, fifth.
