Robert Schertz

TISKILWA — Robert Eugene Schertz, 79, of Tiskilwa passed away at 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Kewanee Hospital in Kewanee.

He was born Feb. 23, 1934, in Tiskilwa to Robert Edwin and Olive (Hager) Schertz.

He worked part-time as a custodian at various local companies in Princeton.

He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Princeton.

Surviving are one sister, Judith (William) Schulze of West Bend, Wis.; two sisters-in-law, Anna Mae Schertz of Wataga and Sharon Schertz of Tiskilwa; and special friend, Helen Kitterman of Tiskilwa; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David and Richard Schertz; and one sister, JoAnn Schertz.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton. Burial will be in Mt. Bloom Cemetery, Tiskilwa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
