Understanding the Affordable Health Care Act program set at Princeton Public Library

PRINCETON — There is a lot to learn about the Affordable Health Care Act and what it entails. Starting in 2014, everyone in the United States will be required to have health coverage, either through their employer, Medicare, state health programs or through each state’s Health Insurance Marketplace. Enrollment in health coverage on the marketplace will open on Oct. 1 with plans effective on Jan. 1, 2014.

Terri Worman, associate state director for Advocacy and Outreach for the AARP, will present two sessions on the new health care legislation and its ramifications at the Princeton Public Library at 3 and 6:30 p.m. today, Tuesday. The same information will be provided at each session. Two additional sessions will be offered in September, with the date to be announced.

For fans of paper crafts and activities, the library will present an easy origami program at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The crafts featured will be a small gift box, and several animals (in honor of Fair Week). This program is appropriate for ages 8 and up. All materials will be provided.

The Princeton Public Library is located at 698 E. Peru St. in Princeton. All programs at the Princeton Public Library are free and open to all. For more information, call the library at 815-875-1331 or visit www.theprincetonlibrary.org.
