Daniel Nickells

PRINCETON — Daniel G. “Gobbler” Nickells, 47, of Princeton passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at his residence.

Daniel was born Aug. 26, 1965, in Spring Valley, a son of Norman Reese and Helen June (Hutchinson) Nickells. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Chet (Joette) Nickells of Jensen Beach, Fla., Erin McCauley of Ladd, Don Nickells of Concord, Calif., Debbie Drummond of LaSalle, Sally Reuter of Princeton, Vicki (Toby) Sanden of Manlius, Chris Nickells of Princeton and Karla (Shawn) Carr of Henry. Daniel also leaves several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Norman Kelly Nickells.

Daniel proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a life member of the VFW. He loved country music, karaoke, fishing, hunting and NASCAR.

Graveside military services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Memorial Park in Spring Valley. The family invites friends and family members to a gathering at The Underground in Princeton immediately following services.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
