PRINCETON — Earlier this summer, the St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church high school youth group traveled to Rochester, Ind., to perform some home repair for residents.

The trip was part of a Group Workcamps mission trip. Four youth and three adults spent one week of their summer helping other people. They performed tasks such as painting rooms in homes, painting the exterior of homes, building a wheelchair ramp, replacing a front porch and replacing a front door. They spent their evenings in worship and free time while sleeping in a middle school.

St. Matthew’s is already planning a trip for next summer and beginning to fundraise. For more information, contact the church by calling 815-879-6491 or visit them at 416 E. Dover Road in Princeton.
