PRINCETON — Richard L. H. Goodrum, 62, of Princeton passed away Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at his home.
He was born on May 10, 1951, in Spring Valley to Hank and Mary (Green) Goodrum. He graduated from Princeton High School and attended two years of college. He was a laborer at LCN for 36 years before retirement. After retirement he worked at Sears for four years. Richard also served in the National Guard for many years. He also attended Catholic church, bowled for many years, golfed and hunted deer. Richard was also a member of the Moose Lodge. He married Pamela Jo Gee on Aug. 24, 1980, in Princeton.
Richard is survived by his wife of nearly 33 years, Pamela Jo Goodrum of Princeton, and his parents, Hank and Mary Goodrum. Also surviving are four children, Richard M. Goodrum, Michael J. Goodrum, James B. Brown and Tina L. Brown; and eight grandchildren, Chelsey B. Goodrum, Trever J. Brown, Emma M. Goodrum, Elizabeth A. Brown, Hanna J. Goodrum, Abby R. Goodrum, Kody J. S. Brown and Colton B. Goodrum; and one great-granddaughter, Pyper J. Goodrum. Surviving as well is one sister, Joyce Egan.
A Celebration of Life will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Norberg Memorial Home in Princeton. Burial will be private and at a later date. There will be no visitation, cremation rites have been accorded.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
