Breakfast for a cause

Bureau County Food Pantry coordinator Vanessa Hoffeditz (left) and Frankie Wolsfeld with Service Master Restoration in Princeton, collect boxes of cereal on Tuesday morning at Sullivan’s Foods for Service Master Restoration’s fifth annual cereal drive. This year’s cereal drive will benefit three area food pantries, the Bureau County Food Pantry in Princeton, the Illinois Valley Food Pantry in LaSalle and the Hall Township Food Pantry in Spring Valley. Drop-off sites for the cereal are the Service Master Restoration office as well as several area insurance agencies who are participating in the cereal drive. People can call their local insurance agents to see if they are part of the cereal collection, Wolsfeld said. The cereal drive ends Friday, though people can still bring cereal to the Bureau County Food Pantry after that date for the special collection drive, Hoffeditz said.
