Chicago Police Academy announces graduates

CHICAGO — Theresa Zeglis, daughter of Edward Zeglis of Spring Valley and the late Sandra Zeglis, completed six months of training at the Chicago Police Academy.

She received her star at a ceremony at the academy on June 5. She graduated June 12 at the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier. Certificates were handed out by Superintendent Garry McCarthy and Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

She was on assignment at the Puerto Rico Festival, Chicago Blackhawks Stanley Cup Playoff game, the Stanley Cup parade and ceremony, the Taste of Chicago and in the loop area. At present, she is assigned to the 24th district in Rogers Park for her field training.
