Boys golf

At Chillicothe: Host IVC (175) topped Princeton (178) by three strokes Thursday at Arrowhead Country Club with Peoria Christian (200) finishing a distant third. IVC’s Jared Hutson was medalist at 34. PHS had a close pack with Zach Hicks (42), Colby Robbins (43) and Ian Nichols (44).

Colton Ervin led the PHS JV in defeat with a 51.

At Spring Creek: Hall raised its record to .500 with a 169-195 win over LaSalle-Peru Wednesday. Hall senior Pete Mautino (39) was medalist. Other Hall scores were Zach Vanderpool 41, Ryan Ott 43, Matt Hoscheid 46, Nick Scheri 47, Aaron Mitchell 49. L-P was led by Alex Somolski 46 and Kyle Hanck 47.

Malcolm Bernabei had a 47 and Avery Detmers a 49 in defeat for the Hall JV.

At Chapel Hill: Mendota edged host Princeton 166-167 Wednesday at Chapel Hill Golf Course. Princeton’s Zach Hicks was meet medalist with a 38, one stroke better than Mendota’s Cody Phalen. Also for PHS (2-1), Colby Robbins had a 41, Colin Pierson and Miles Rose a 44, Ian Nichols a 46 and Derec Roberson a 49.

Mendota also won the JV meet behind medalist’s Ross Schulze’s 49. For PHS, Colton Erven had a 50, Bryce Nyman a 55, Austin Jamison and Josh Eggers a 57 and Hunter Culjan and Grant Reed a 69.

At Hidden Lake: Logan Twidell had a 42 and Ryan Young a 45 in defeat for Bureau Valley (187) Monday vs. Williamsfield (166).
