Carlos Acosta hit a milestone for the DePue Little Giants in Saturday’s 6-0 win over Mendota.

He scored five goals on the day, the first of which was the 100th in his career.

Isaac Reyes also scored for the Little Giants, who helped raise their record to 6-0.

While it was a good showing by his team, DePue coach Tim Stevens said, “They need to focus more and try harder to run a more balanced attack with better control.”

The DePue JV won 2-1 on goals by Johnathan Gallardo and Edgar Moreno.

Princeton 2, Earlville 1: The Tigers went on the road for a win over their regional rival Saturday. Dylan Schaefer scored the first goal on an assist by Brady Frank. Schaefer was on the other end of the Tigers’ second goal with the assist to Tyler Marvin.

PHS coach Jason Bird said the Tigers missed too many opportunities, taking note of the fact the Tigers outshot the Red Raiders 26-6.
