OGLESBY — Mary G. Boyer, 71, of Oglesby passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. For those who knew and loved her, she never lost her sense of humor and her love of laughter.
She was born April 27, 1942, in Cecilia, Ky., to Thomas and Letty (Sheroan) Thomas. She worked at Harper-Wyman Co. in Princeton for many years.
She is survived by one daughter, Bobbi Rueben of LaSalle; two sons, Bob (Laurie) Boyer of Peru and Greg (Crystal) Boyer of Beaver Dam, Wis.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her dog, Rollo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
A celebration of her life will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pulaski Park in LaSalle. Per her request, her body was donated to science.
