Bureau Valley (1-2, 1-2) at Kewanee (2-1, 1-0)

Gametime: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Kewanee.

BCR Insider: The Storm reach a pivotal point early in the season, now with two losses after three weeks. A third loss this year would be detrimental to a playoff push. The Boilers, however, are off to an impressive 2-1 start under first-year coach Tyler Nichols, who succeeded his former boss, Chris Waca, now an assistant at Plano. They are riding high after last week’s stunning 27-26 win at St. Bede. Kewanee won the first two meetings between the new TRAC rivals before the Storm broke through in a big way last year.

Last week: BV lost to Newman 36-6; Kewanee beat St. Bede 27-26.

Last year: BV 24-8.

All-time series: Kewanee 2-1.

Radio: WZOE 98.1 FM.

Hall (2-1, 1-0) at Orion (1-2, 0-1)

Gametime: 7:30 p.m. Friday at Orion.

BCR Insider: Hall coach Randy Tieman said the Chargers will present some problems with all the different formations they run so the Red Devils will have to be ready for anything. “Our kids will have to be aware of what formation they are in and be in the right coverage. If we continue to play assignment football and play all four quarters we will be OK,” he said. After falling to Bureau Valley 42-21 in the season opener, the Red Devils have been better than OK with wins over Erie/Prophetstown and Amboy/LaMoille. The new TRAC rivals last met in 2011 when both were in the West Central. Before then, they met in 2002. Hall switched to the Big Rivers last year before both were reunited this year with the Three Rivers expansion. Orion had an impressive 50-0 whitewash over Morrison in Week 2, sandwiched by losses to Fulton and Rockridge.

Last week: Hall beat A/L 28-21; Orion lost to Rockridge 39-26.

Last year: Did not play (last meeting 2011, Orion won 56-14).

All-time series: Tied 1-1.

Radio: WAJK 99.3 FM.

Amboy/LaMoille (0-3, 0-1) at Riverdale (0-3, 0-1)

Gametime: 7:30 p.m. Friday, Port Byron.

BCR Insider: The Clippers set sail for Port Byron looking for their first win of the season against the Rams, who also stand 0-3. A/L edged the Rams in last year’s season opener by one point.

Last year: A/L 19-18.

Last week: Amboy lost to Hall 28-21; Riverdale lost to E/P 53-32.

Radio: WRCV 101.7 FM
