SV rescinds business’ license
SPRING VALLEY — Residents won’t be lighting up anything from the Spring Valley Smoke Shop any more, after the city council rescinded its license to sell tobacco.
“It’s a threat to our community what they are selling down there,” Spring Valley Police Chief Kevin Sangston said.
The owner of the smoke shop was recently arrested after he was allegedly caught selling synthetic cannabis, an illegal substance. An undercover operation showed the shop was allegedly selling the substance at the store and recovered more than 1,700 packets, according to Sangston.
