Suarez’s career low leads PHS to 11th straight win
Sophia Suarez shot a career low round of 45 to capture her third meet medalist of the season, leading Princeton girls to their 11 straight victory Wednesday at Emerald Hills Golf Course in Sterling.
The Tigresses (13-4) came in at 211 to topple Sterling and Prophetstown. Also for PHS, Arraia Hicks had a 50, Audra Reidner a 54, Julie Miller a 62 and Sarah Crowe a 63.
“The girls played very well overall considering it was a new course to all of us; they remained patient and poised throughout the match,” PHS coach Will Gross said. “Sophia played outstanding from the first tee shot until her last putt, and it was great to see her game come together like that since she is such a hard worker and leader.”
