Brady, Bruins spoil PHS homecoming
PRINCETON — Jack Brady and the St. Bede Bruins sure knew how to dampen the homecoming fire at Princeton Friday night.
The Bruins junior quarterback threw for a TD strike on the Bruins’ very first play of the game and would connect for three more scores to lead the Bruins to a 40-6 win at Bryant Field as the Bruins spoiled the PHS Homecoming.
“We played all right. We did what we had to do,” St. Bede coach John Bellino said. “(I) thought our offensive line played a little better tonight. Defensive played real well. They gave us the ball in great field position. (I) can’t say enough. The kids are playing hard right now and that’s all that counts.
