Corrine Fetzer

ARLINGTON — Corrine L. Fetzer, 80, of Arlington died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at the Mendota Lutheran Home.

She was born April 23, 1933, in Berlin Township, Bureau County, where she resided her entire life to Arthur and Rose (Hahn) Fouth. She married Merle Fetzer March 16, 1952, in Peru.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ of Peru. She attended Park Country Grade School and graduated from LaMoille High School in 1951. She helped her husband and son in their farming. She loved her flowers, gardening and quilting, and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school activities.

She is survived by her husband of Arlington; one son, Ron (Melissa) Fetzer of Arlington; two daughters, Julie (Bruce) Barganz of Ft. Atkinson, Wis., and Brenda Dye of Malden; five grandchildren, Derek (Candice), Alycia (Mike), Brett, Lindsay and Ashlee; and three sisters, Adelle Timm of LaMoille, Luella Shackelford of LaMoille and Norma Sondgeroth of Sublette.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Bache Chapel in Van Orin with burial in the Van Orin Repose Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the Bache Chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the Bureau County Food Pantry or the LaMoille Ambulance Service.
