PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton held a veterans workshop on Sept. 11.

Seven members packed 36 treat sacks for the veterans in four nursing homes the Unit supports each month. Snack chips, cookies, puddings, Little Debbie snack cakes, bananas and candies were included in the treat sacks..

“We do this for our “in care” veterans as a way of telling them “thanks” for all they have done for our country,” said VA&R Chairman Clara Pease.

Monetary donations can be mailed to Clara Pease to continue the support of veterans at 321 Briar Lane, Princeton, IL 61356.
