At Princeton: Zach Hicks heated up things on his home course at Chapel Hill, firing a medalist par 36 to lead Princeton (159) to a Three Rivers South division sweep Monday over Hall (171) and Orion (205). Also for PHS, which improved its overall record to 14-4 and TRAC to 10-2, Ian Nichols added a 39, Colin Pierson a 41, Colby Robbins a 43, Miles Rose a 45 and Derec Roberson a 46.
Nick Scherl led Hall with a 40 and Pete Mautino added a 41. Also for Hall, Matt Hoscheid and Zach Vanderpool had 45s, Ryan Ott a 47 and Aaron Mitchell a 49.
Hall beat the Princeton JV 194-202, led by medalist Malcom Bernabei’s 43. Also for Hall, Evan Alig had a 47, Avery Detmers a 51, Dominic Marenda a 53, Colten Zibert a 56 and Hayden Nielsen a 57. PHS got a 46 from Alex Heaton, a 49 from Josh Eggers, a 52 from Austin Jamison, a 55 from Seth Torchia, a 61 from Hunter Culjan and a 63 from Bryce Nyman.
At Deer Valley: The St. Bede Bruins edged Amboy/LaMoille 180-182 in TRAC South play Tuesday with Prophetstown (194). Jarret Olson led the Bruins at 41 and Anthony Truckenbrod added a 44, Joe Dudek a 47 and Jack Kunkel a 48.
A/L’s Griffin Kozeal was medalist at 40. Also scoring for the Clippers were Logan Thake (44), Sam Klein (47) and Tracer Mills (51).
St. Bede defeated Prophetstown 204-235 in JV play led by medalist Brady Donahue’s 43.
At Spring Creek: The St. Bede Bruins defended their home course, scoring 156 to defeat Kewanee (162) andy Princeton (172) Wednesday at Spring Creek Golf Course. Medalist Joe Dudek (35) lead the Bruins charge, backed by Jarret Olson (39), Anthony Truckenbrod (41), Jack Kunkel (41), Joe Kim (44) and Brady Donahue (49).
Ian Nichols led Princeton with a 39. Also for the Tigers, Zack Hicks had a 42, Colby Robbins a 45 and Colin Pierson a 46, Miles Rose a 47 and Derec Roberson a 52.
Kewanee (189) won the JV meet over Princeton (201) and St. Bede (217). Austin Jamison and Hunter Rodda had 49s for PHS. Ben Sons (51) and Adam Lenkaitis (53) led St. Bede.
At Varna: The Hall Red Devils (177 and medalist Pete Mautino(38) defeated Fieldcrest(192) and host Putnam County (202) Wednesday on the par 36 back 9 at Edgewood Park Golf Club Wedneday. Also for Hall were Matt Hoscheid (44), Zach Vanderpool (45) and Aaron Mitchell (49).
Christian Charbonnea led PC at 49.
Malcomi Bernabei's medalist 45 an Dominic Marenda (49) lifted the Hall JV to a 198-214 win over Fieldcrest.
