Chicken, biscuit dinner

PRINCETON — The annual Hampshire Colony Congregational Church chicken and biscuit dinner will be Wednesday at the church, 604 S. Church St., Princeton. Serving will start at 4:45 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $3 for children under 12 (half serving). The church, which is handicapped accessible, has been hosting this event for more than 50 years. Nine Patch Quilt Guild

OGLESBY — The Nine Patch Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Dickinson House in Oglesby. Plans for the October retreat will be finalized. For more information, call Jean Daley at 815-883-8725.

Spaghetti dinner

PRINCETON — The committee to elect Allan Beaber for Bureau County Sheriff will hold an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Princeton Elks Lodge. Dinner will include spaghetti, salad, bread and butter, coffee or tea and dessert. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or by calling 815-866-8762 or 815-875-8762.

Pizzas available

PRINCETON — Logan Junior High School students will sell pizzas between Oct. 10 and 22, for delivery on Nov. 2. If a student does not contact you, you can call 815-875-6415 and place an order.

Luminary of Hope

STREATOR — The Zonta Clubs of LaSalle-Peru, Ottawa and Streator will host a luminary walk at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Plumb Pavilion at the Streator City Park. After the walk, guest speakers, including Sen. Sue Rezin, Rep. Frank Mautino, Judge Cynthia Raccuglia, Mayor Jimmie Lansford, social agent Rebecca Keene and Amber Wright from the Illinois Imagines Committee, will speak about domestic violence awareness at Park Place.
