Bring your talent to the Farmer’s Table
Idol Contest to benefit Wounded Warrior Project
LAMOILLE — The Farmer’s Table in LaMoille will host an Idol Contest to help The Wounded Warrior Project.
Auditions will be at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 7. A panel of judges comprised of local merchants will pick contestants that will compete in the official contest. Competitions will be held on the next several Saturday nights at The Farmer’s Table Restaurant in LaMoille.
Each contestant will have an allotted amount of time to present their talent to an audience. The audience will place tips in the contestant’s bucket they want to vote for. Each dollar will equal a vote. At the end of each competition evening, the tips will be counted by someone independent of The Farmer’s Table, and according to the votes, some contestants will move on to the next round. Results will be posted at local establishments along with a post on Facebook.
The audience does not have to be present at competitions to vote. Tip buckets will also be placed at local establishments, so votes can be added after each competition. Because of the size of the restaurant, only dining customers can be present during competitions. All others are encouraged to vote using the tip buckets placed at other establishments.
At the end of the competition, the winning contestant will split the total tips collected throughout the competition with The Wounded Warriors Project.
Each “contestant” will be comprised of one or not more than four people (group). No electric guitars or drum sets allowed. Each contestant is expected to have musical accompaniment, instrumental or recorded. The Farmer’s Table will not provide any equipment. The space to perform is limited to the space where they normally have their buffet.
Contestants will be judged on their talent, but it is up to each contestant to WOW the preliminary judges at the audition. Contestants who make it past the audition will perform beginning that following Saturday.
