The Princeton Tigresses shot a season-low team 195 and Audra Reidner had a career-best 45. Putnam County did just a little bit better, defeating the Tigresses by seven strokes Thursday at Chapel Hill Golf Course.
“The girls were disappointed after the match, but I emphasized how well we played and that we have put ourselves in a great position for the next two weeks of post-season play,” PHS coach Will Gross said.
For PHS, Sophia Suarez had a 47, Sarah Crowe a 51 and Arraia Hicks a 52.
PC also had a season-low at 188, paced by medalist Stephanie Wilson’s 42. Carly Gonet added a 45 for PC, Lauren Bauer a 50 and Tara Doyle a 51.
Henry came in with a 242 with 55s from Tiffany Leguia and Kelsey Pieper. DePue did not field a full squad, drawing a 58 from Dakota Mitchell and a 67 from Mercedes Ruiz.
At Erie: St. Bede’s Aiko Mendoza fired an 8-over 44 to claim medalist honors and lead the Lady Bruins to a 206-210 win over host Erie Wednesday at Lake Erie Country Club. Also for St. Bede (12-3), Gabby Mendoza had a 51, Sydney Eustice a 53 and Tess Montez a 58.
Niki Dodda led the St. Bede JV with a 62.
