PRINCETON — The Princeton Park District has upcoming sporting opportunities.
There are about 50 kids participating between the two age divisions in the Youth Flag Football program.
The Youth Basketball Clinic will start on Oct. 19 at the Metro Center, and will run the following two Saturdays (Oct. 26 and Nov. 2). The clinic is open to children in grades 1-6. The clinic focuses on the basics of basketball - including: dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, and the rules of the game.
The clinic leads into the Youth Basketball League which starts up on Nov. 9, and is also open to children grades 1-6. Children will be broken up into teams for league play on Saturday mornings.
Sports of all Sorts is a great program for children, ages 4-8. This program is provided for those children who aren’t quite old enough to join our Youth Leagues, or are interested in participating in multiple sports. Children will learn about various sports -including: football, basketball, soccer, hockey, and more!
Classes will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, beginning Oct. 15.
