MALDEN — Malden Grade School will host an event to raise funds for new playground equipment on Oct. 26 at the Princeton Moose Lodge. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. with dinner being served from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost for the dinner is $16 for adults, $12 for ages 4-17 and free for 3 and under. There is a $5 entry fee for those choosing not to eat dinner. The dinner event will also include a live auction, silent auction and DJ. Tickets are available by calling Malden Grade School at 815-643-2436.
PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will serve a spaghetti supper from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Legion home, 1549 W. Peru St., Princeton. Tickets at the door are $6 for adults and $3 for ages 10 and under. The ladies will serve spaghetti and meatballs, lettuce salad with choice of dressing, bread sticks, dessert and beverages. There will be a silent auction. Winners of the silent auction will be drawn at 6 p.m.
Ladies Night Out
PRINCETON — A Ladies Night Out event will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Fitzgerald's Piano Lounge. Everyone is invited to attend. Vendors will offer a variety of gifts and personal care items.
PRINCETON — The Bureau County Health Department will offer a flu clinic at the health department, 526 Bureau Valley Parkway, Princeton, from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 16. Private insurance and Medicare Part B will be accepted with a current insurance of Medicaid PArt B car. Flu shots for adults are $25 and $12 for children 18 and under. Medicaid is only accepted for children 18 and under.
PRINCETON — The Woodcrafters will hold their monthly meeting beginning with show and tell at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Bureau County Senior Center in Princeton. The topic of discussion will be about caning chairs. Meetings are open to the public.
LADD — Relay for Life's Team Thrive is sponsoring Rip's Night from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 at Rip's Tavern in Ladd. The cost is $7 per order. A bake sale and raffles will be offered. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Bureau County.
