Auxiliary, Legion will meet Wednesday

PRINCETON — American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary Unit 125 of Princeton will conduct its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the post home, 1549 W. Peru St. in Princeton.

Final plans for the upcoming spaghetti supper will be heard. Lists for needed supplies will be at this meeting for members to sign up. Kitchen, dining room, etc. — lots of help is needed to make this supper a success. Also on the agenda will be the upcoming division meeting to be held in November at the Bartonville post. Handouts will be available. All members are encouraged to attend this meeting and are reminded that dues must be paid by Dec. 31 or be placed on the “arrears list by national.” Program reports will be heard from VA&R, poppy, good will and membership. A community service chairperson is still needed.

The Roger L. Eickmeier American Post 125 of Princeton will also hold its monthly business meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday. All Legionnaires are encouraged to attend the meetings each months at 7 p.m. at the post home.

Usual and customary agenda will be heard with upcoming fundraisers discussed. Several Legionnaires from Post 125 were a part of the honor flight to Washington, D.C., on Oct. 3. They include Tom Burke, Ray Nelson and others.

The Legion is available for family gatherings, rummage sales, small business meeting, funeral meals, birthday/anniversary parties, bridal/baby showers, etc. For information, call 815-872-1171 and leave a message.
