Tigresses tennis takes two

Two wins in two nights for the Princeton Tigresses tennis team.

The Tigresses got two wins from singles and two from doubles to topple Streator on Monday. Jen O’Neil (6-0, 6-1) and Courtney Webb (6-2, 7-6) prevailed in singles play with the duos of Emma Reidner/Ellie Bonucci (6-2, 6-2) and Lindsay Hartwig/Megan Smith (6-0, 6-0) prevailing in doubles.

Laura Behrends and Brittany Krohn fell 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

The Princeton F/S whitewashed Streator 6-0. In singles, Angelica Jones and Julia Bauer both won 8-1. PHS also won with the doubles of Danielle May and Mallory Wheeler (6-3), Elise Blocki and Selena Olson (8-3) and MacKenzie Geldean and Hannah Erickson (6-2).

On Tuesday, PHS shut out Kewanee 5-0 on both levels.

Varsity winners were O’Neil (6-0, 6-0), Webb (6-2, 6-0), Behrends/Krohn (6-1, 6-2), Reidner/Bonucci (6-2, 6-0) and Hartwig/Smith (6-2, 6-0).

F/S winners were Jones (8-0),Wheeler (8-4), Geldean/Blocki (8-3), May/Bauer (8-0) and Olson/Erickson (8-1).
