Cross country

At St. Bede: Al Baldonado (18:09) and Kaylee Olivares (22:32) were race winners on the Academy campus Monday. The Hall boys defeated the Bruins 23-38, claiming spots 4-9. St. Bede’s Jake Condon (18:54) and Leo Lopez (19:07) went 2-3.

The Lady Bruins claimed the girls meet 25-34 with a second-place finish from Laura Sickley (22:48) and a fourth from Annie Needs (24:47). Hall’s Angelica Moreno (24:04) took third.

At Erie: Amboy/LaMoille’s girls captured Tuesday’s Panther Invite, led by race winner Megan Grady (19:22). Jen Popovich (7th, 21:45) and Erin Hosto (9th, 21:55) also captured the top 10 as the Lady Clippers (45) topped Erie/Prophetstown (58) for the team title.

Top finishers for PHS were Zoe Mead (4th, 20:56) and Cody Workman (13th, 18:13.3.) PHS coach Pat Hodge said Mason Hunt cut about 45 seconds off his best time, turning in a 30th-place time of 19:25.1.

For Ohio, Johnne Schulte was 20th (18:34.7) and Jacob Tudor 27th (19:16.6).

Skylar Wheeler (17th, 18:24) and Ben Hosto (18:29) paced the A/L boys.
