Diane Nyman

DOVER — Diane Marie Nyman, 57, of Dover passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at her home.

She was born July 23, 1956, in Princeton to Ellis F. and Vivian A. (Jenner) Lind. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1974 and received her teaching degree from Illinois State University. She served the community as a teacher for 35 years working for Princeton Elementary Schools. She retired on June 1, 2013. Diane married Todd Nyman on June 6, 1980, in Princeton. He survives. She attended the First United Methodist Church and the Evangelical Covenant Church where she was active the church choir, children's choir, Bible school and praise team. She loved walks along the canal, watching her sons in sports activities, playing the trumpet and the piano. Diane was also very active in the community.

Diane is survived by her husband of 33 years, Todd Nyman of Dover. Also surviving are three sons, Aaron (Talisha) Nyman of Troy, Ill., Brandon (Nicole) Nyman of Princeton and Cameron (Katie) Nyman of Davenport, Iowa; and two and a half grandchildren. Surviving as well is her mother, Vivian Lind of Princeton; two brothers, Dick and Don Lind; and one sister, Denise Guinn.

She was preceded in death by her father, father-in-law, grandparents and one nephew, Josh Nyman.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Evangelical Covenant Church, Princeton, with the Rev. Derek C. Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Princeton.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Diane Nyman Memorial Fund at Heartland Bank.
