William Lamb

PRINCETON — William Lamb, 91, of Princeton died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Walnut Manor Nursing Home in Walnut.

Bill was born March 21, 1922, in Princeton, the son of Clarence and Alma (Hansen) Lamb.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was well known in the community for the pictures he took and the articles he had written about in Bureau County. He was a charter member of the American Theatre Organ Society and was the high school and reunion photographer for many years. Bill worked at the Apollo Theatre in the projection room as an assistant manager. He also worked at Spies and Jostens.

He is survived by one brother, Clarence W. “Jerry” (Shirley) of Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley and Rosemary.

Cremation rites were accorded. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Oakland Cemetery in Princeton with the Rev. Jon Olinger, officiating.

The Garland Funeral Home in Walnut is handling the arrangements.
