DALZELL — The Princeton Christian Academy Girls Basketball B Team won third place in the Prairie Conference Tournament at Dalzell.

The Lady Eagles beat Cherry for the B team honors, 26-11.

Peru Catholic won both the A and B team first-place honors in the tournament.

The Lady Eagles team is comprised of eighth-graders Courtney Pointer and Maggie Daluga from St. Louis School; seventh-graders Kelly Van Den Bussche and Emily Fisher; sixth-graders Anna Grey and Rhiannon Searl; fifth-graders Addilyn Glass and J’Kira Wolbrecht; and fourth-graders Andrea Imsland and Cearra LaPlante.

The team is coached by Dave Van Den Bussche.

Kelly Van Den Bussche won the B team Conference Free Throw contest.

She received a trophy for sinking 14 out of 25 shots.

The Prairie Conference is composed of nine grade schools: Cherry, Dimmick, Dalzell, Lostant, Deer Park, St. Louis School, Rhema Christian, Peru Catholic, and Princeton Christian Academy.
