Lighted Santa parade in Spring Valley planned for Dec. 7

SPRING VALLEY — The Spring Valley Boosters’ Lighted Santa Parade will be Dec. 7.

The theme this year is “Winter Wonderland.” Trophies will be presented to the “Best Theme,” “Best Lighted Vehicle” and “Judges’ Award.”

Float participants are needed. Entries may be made by individuals, businesses or organizations. Floats, vehicles or walkers are acceptable. All entries must be lighted and decorated for the holidays. Only artificial Santas are allowed.

Registration forms are available by calling 815-303-4327 or by visiting www.spring-valley.il.us. Registrations are due by Wednesday. They may be mailed to 215 N. Greenwood St., Spring Valley; faxed to 815-664-2114; or e-mailed to sveconomics@comcast.net.

The parade begins at 6 p.m. at Hall High School and travels St. Paul Street through downtown and up Greenwood Street to the library. Santa will be available in the community room of the library to visit with children after the parade.
