SHEFFIELD — Raymond J. DeBrock, 50, of Sheffield died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton.
Raymond was born Sept. 29, 1963, in Kewanee, the son of Richard and Deanne (Maas) DeBrock. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Frank on Oct. 1, 1983, in Sheffield. Ray was employed by Michlig Grain as a grain originator and project manager. He was a Gold Township board member and an officer of Michlig Holdings LLC. Ray was dedicated to the farming community his entire life.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly DeBrock of Sheffield; one daughter, Rebecca (Nathaniel) Davis of Istanbul, Turkey; one son, Blake DeBrock of Manlius; two grandchildren, Caedmon and Aiden of Istanbul, Turkey; his mother, Deanne DeBrock of Sheffield; three brothers, Ron (Wendy) DeBrock of Geneseo, Robert (Jennifer) DeBrock of Wyanet and Roger (Kristine) DeBrock of Manlius; two sisters, Debra DeBrock of Sheffield and Denise DeBrock of Sheffield; and three nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Randall DeBrock; and his grandparents.
Funeral prayer services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Garland Funeral Home, Walnut, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Sheffield with Father Mark Miller, pastor at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Annawan, and Father Gerard VerHoye, retired pastor at St. Anthony Catholic Church, co-officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Sheffield.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home where a rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m.
