Princeton Lions sponsor a day of Christmas on Saturday

PRINCETON — The Princeton Lions Club, with the help of other community organizations, will host a day of Christmas events for kids and families on Saturday.

The day begins from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. with Breakfast with Santa at the Bureau County Senior Center, 16 W. Marion St. There will be cookie decorating from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Clark House, 500 S. Main St. A cookie walk will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Prouty Building, 435 S. Main St. There will be a free Christmas movie at 10:30 a.m. at the Princeton Public Library, 698 E. Peru St. The Christmas parade will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street. The parade will begin from Maria’s Pizza and continue down Main Street to Soldiers and Sailors Park. Santa’s elves will be collecting food items and donations for the Bureau County Food Pantry along the parade route.

The Lions Club will have food drive boxes at Heartland Bank, Centrue Bank, Central Bank, Prouty Building, Cannon Cleaners, Princeton Pharmacy and Sullivan’s.
