Howard 'Boz' Kaufman Jr.

MARQUETTE HEIGHTS — Howard Wayne “Boz” Kaufman Jr., 57, of Marquette Heights, formerly of Colfax and Princeton, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 14, 1956, in Bloomington to Howard Wayne and Joan Hisle Kaufman Sr.

He was a former member of the Princeton Bowling Association and Princeton Moose Lodge.

He graduated from Octavia High School, Colfax, attended San Angelo State College in Texas and graduated from Illinois Valley Central College with an associate degree in tool and die making. He formerly worked for Harper-Wyman at Princeton, Caterpillar Tractor Co. in East Peoria and most recently for Case-New Holland at Goodfield.

Survivors include his parents of Bloomington; one daughter, Sarah Evans of Clinton, Ill.; one son, Nolan (fianceé Becca Mercum) Kaufman of Marquette Heights; three brothers, James (Mindy) Kaufman of Creston, Iowa, Roger (Tina) Kaufman of Colfax and Mark (Lori) Kaufman of Downs; one sister, Deborah (Richard) Jones of Arrowsmith; and 40 neices, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with Pastor Brian Moore officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
