Will you make a New Year’s Resolution this year? Why or why not?

Published: Monday, Dec. 30, 2013 1:01 p.m. CDT

“I do not make New Year’s resolutions. I have no need to set a goal or give up something just for the beginning of the year. If I want to accomplish something, I just set my mind to it. I believe when people make them they set themselves up for failure, but that’s just me personally. But I love the New Year!”

Courtney Dickinson, Princeton

“I won’t make a New Year’s resolution this year because it’s a common tradition that I don’t usually abide by. When I’m ready to make a change, I will do it no matter when it is.”

Lisa Dickens, Princeton

“Yes, it’s good to start the new year with positive thoughts of how to make yourself a better person.”

Audrey Schillaci, Princeton

“I will not make a resolution because they never work. I don’t need a new year to change something.”

Erin Mickelson, Princeton

“Yes, I will make a resolution because I need a goal to work toward.”

Robbie Butler, Princeton
