PRINCETON — Robert M. Krase, 94, of Princeton passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Liberty Village of Princeton.
He was born Aug. 3, 1919, in Galesburg to Herman Krase and Martha (Schroeder) Krase.
He graduated from Galesburg High School in 1937. He went to technical school for electrical work in Chicago. Bob worked for Illinois Power as a supervisor for 34 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Emma Weigand on Oct. 27, 1948, in Rock Island. He was an active member of Presbyterian Church in Princeton.
Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Emma Krase of Princeton. Also surviving are three daughters, Carolyn (R.J.) Burns of North Dakota, Cheryl Krase of Princeton and Kathleen Krase of Princeton; and two grandchildren, Emily and Austin. He was also a favorite uncle to three nephews, Bobby Krase, and Richard and Hart Bondi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
All services will be private and at a later date.
