PRINCETON — “We the People” Tea Party will hold an open public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bureau County Republican meeting room, 800 Ace Road. David Hale will be the speaker for the evening. He is running against Adam Kinzinger as a U.S. congressman. He is the Tea Party Leader in Rockford, spent 20 years in the aviation industry as a helicopter mechanic, is a registered nurse and has spent eight years in the emergency department.

PRINCETON — A community observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Prouty Building, 435 S. Main St., Princeton. This one-hour program for all ages will feature short readings from Dr. King, reflections on his legacy and music. A children’s activity will be available. MANLIUS — A fish fry will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Manlius Sportsman’s Club. The donation is $8.
