We the People meeting

PRINCETON — “We the People” Tea Party will hold an open public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Bureau County Republican meeting room, 800 Ace Road. David Hale will be the speaker for the evening. He is running against Adam Kinzinger as a U.S. congressman. He is the Tea Party Leader in Rockford, spent 20 years in the aviation industry as a helicopter mechanic, is a registered nurse and has spent eight years in the emergency department.

Bingo

PRINCETON — The Princeton Moose Lodge will host a bingo night at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Doors will open at 5 p.m. and sandwiches will be available for purchase. The lodge will continue to host bingo the first and third Tuesday of each month. For more information, call the lodge at 815-879-5261.

Coffeehouse performance

PRINCETON — Singer/songwriters Anne Heaton and Edie Carey will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Princeton Coffeehouse at the Open Prairie UCC, 25 E. Marion St., Princeton. Special observance

PRINCETON — A community observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Prouty Building, 435 S. Main St., Princeton. This one-hour program for all ages will feature short readings from Dr. King, reflections on his legacy and music. A children’s activity will be available. Legion meeting

LADD — Harold E. Russell American Legion Post 938 of Ladd will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Legion post.

Fish fry

MANLIUS — A fish fry will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Manlius Sportsman’s Club. The donation is $8.
