Saturday night sports update

LaSalle-Peru sharp-shooters came out guns ablazing, connecting on 13 three-point baskets to shoot down the Princeton Tigers 65-46 Saturday at Prouty Gym.

Noah Lamboley led the L-P attack, hitting six threes and 24 points overall.

For Princeton (3-14), J.J. Vaccaro had 19 points and Garrett Duffin 16.

L-P also won the sophomore prelim 56-33. Jake Reinhardt led the Kittens with 23 points.

Friday night hoops

Henry beat Putnam County 63-48 in a Tri-County Conference boys basketball showdown.

Hall beat St. Bede 64-49 at Red Devil Gymnasium in the battle of the Valley.

In other area action Sherrard topped Princeton 56-42 in a tussle of Tigers at Prouty Gym and Bureau Valley blew away Riverdale 69-45 in Three Rivers Conference play.
