Daley selected as St. Bede SAR Outstanding Citizen

PERU — Christine Daley of Oglesby has been named St. Bede Academy’s Sons of the American Revolution Outstanding Citizenship award winner for the 2013-14 school year.

Selection is determined by dependability, honesty, courtesy, respect, leadership and patriotism.

Daley is a graduate of Holy Family School, and she is a member of Holy Family Church in Oglesby. She was the November 2013 Elks Teen of the Month nominee. Daley participated in basketball for two years and softball for four years.

While at the Academy, she has been involved in Student Government serving as president, Spanish Club, Teen Safe Driving, Ambassadors, Eucharisitic Ministers, Interact Club and Yearbook. She has served the community through the Christian Service Program and Interact Club.

Following graduation, Daley planes to study chemistry, engineering or business.

She is the daughter of Dan and Paula Daley of Oglesby.
