PRINCETON — Spring sign up dates for Princeton Youth Soccer will be held at the Prouty Building aon Saturdauy from 9 a.m. to noon and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Soccer league

PERU — The Illinois Valley YMCA will sponsor an indoor soccer league on Sunday afternoons from Jan. 26 to March 2. There will be age divisions for U8, U10, U12, U14 and high school.

Cost is $275 for U8, U10, U12 teams and $300 for the U14 and high school teams. Teams must have a volunteer parent coach. Maximum 10 players to a roster.

Coaches clinic

MANLIUS — The Bureau County Track and Cross Country Coaches Clinic will be held Feb. 8 at Bureau Valley High School. Bureau Valley coach Dale Donner has lined up another strong cast of coaches from around the state to speak at this year's event.

Clinic cost is $70 if mailed by Jan. 29 or $95 if mailed later or at the door. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the first clinic beginning at 9 a.m. For more information, visit or contact Donner at

Softball clinic

OGLESBY — The Illinois Valley Community College softball team will host the 15th annual IVCC Eagles Softball Clinic Feb. 15-16 in IVCC’s gym. Coaches and current players will offer softball instruction in hitting, bunting, fielding, throwing, base running and communication.

There will be two sessions each day.  On Saturday, participants in Grades 2-4 will meet from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Participants in Grades 5-8 will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. On Sunday, Grades 2-4 will meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with Grades 5-8 meeting from 1:30 to 4 p.m.

Cost of the clinic is $30 per player and includes five hours of instruction and a clinic T-shirt. If a player can only come one day, the cost is $20.

All players should bring a glove and tennis shoes. If a player has her own bat, she is allowed to bring it. Please make sure all items have the player’s name on them for identification purposes.
