Peoria Christian knocked off top-seeded Putnam County 61-34 to capture the Tri-County Conference tournament championship Thursday at Ottawa.
The No. 2 Chargers outscored the Lady Panthers 19-12 in the first quarter and raced off with a 43-18 halftime lead.
Daniela Pavlovich led PC with 14 points.
In other games, Roanoke-Benson beat Marquette 49-39 for third place and Midland topped Henry-Senachwine 39-33 for the consolation crown.
Hall 51, Orion 42: The Hall Lady Devils notched their second win in the Three Rivers Conference South Division Wednesday at Red Devil Gymnasium. Hall improved to 6-12 overall and 2-6 in league play.
Emily Hoscheid led the Lady Devils with a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. Becca Herrmann added 12 points and Hunter Galassi had 11 points.
Cancellations: Hall’s girls game vs. Sherrard Thursday was canceled with a make-up date to be announced.
Thursday’s Princeton at St. Bede girls game was postponed to Friday, bumping the Lady Bruins’ scheduled non conference game with Kankakee Bishop McNamara.
The Lincoln Trail Conference girls basketball tournament games from Thursday have been rescheduled for Saturday in Biggsville. Annawan (14-4) will play host West Central in the semi-finals at 10 a.m. Times for Saturday’s final will remain as scheduled with third place at 2:45 p.m. and the championship game at 4:30 p.m.
