A variety of folks who either write poetry or enjoy this type of reading/writing participated in the inaugural Poetry Slam: “Coffee and Couplets,” which met at Four and Twenty Cafe on Princeton’s Main Street. Participants were invited to bring a poem to read — either one they wrote or the work of another. Those just wanting to listen were welcome as well to enjoy the readings and a coffee/snack during the event.

Some of the participants who read poetry on Friday evening were Chris Thompson, Pam Horwitz, Kevin Shyne, Kathy O'Malley, Goldy Mortensen, Gay McKinney, Jack Olson, Petey Callahan, Jon McCutchan, Glenn Smith, Joan Marella, Bruce McVety, Ron McCutchan, Bill Nelson and Pam Horwitz
