Byron 70, Princeton 44: Byron won the tale of the Tigers Thursday at Prouty Gym, outscoring Princeton 35-19 in the second half to pull away to victory. Zach Hicks and J.J. Vaccaro each scored eight points for PHS (4-17).

Tri-County Conference Tournament: Top-seeded Henry cruised into Saturday’s TCC finals, defeating Peoria Christian 93-61 Thursday at R.M. Germano Gymnasium. Devan Guede led the Mallards with 24 points with Jake Schlosser adding 18, Nathan Helle adding 17 and Kyle Henderson 16.

Harold Fay carried host Putnam County into Saturday’s championship game opposite Henry, pouring in 34 points in a 66-48 win over Roanoke-Benson.

Mendota 55, Dixon 52: James Carroll and Ryan Reeder each scored 13 points for host Trojans (14-5, 2-2) Thursday.
